LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ / Keeneland) – Keeneland has cataloged 254 horses of racing age for a new single separate from this year’s November breeding sale which will take place on November 19 – the last day of the auction – immediately after the selection of breeders. The catalog of horses of racing age in the November sale is now online at Keeneland.com.

The November sale begins Wednesday, November 10. The November 19 session will begin at 10 a.m. ET with 148 breeder heads cataloged and continue with horses of racing age.

Keeneland will continue to accept supplements for the race-aged horse section until the early days of the November sale.

“We are delighted with the quality of the reception given to racing-age horses during the November sale,” said Tony Lacy, Keeneland vice president of sales. “The timing of the sale is extremely well suited to the racing calendar, with the end of the fall racing season as the transition to winter racing takes place and the stables move to new locations. Right now there are plenty of opportunities for people to re-evaluate their stables to better adapt to where they will be running during the winter.

The online catalog of racehorses includes pedigrees, past performances of the Daily Racing Form and Equibase, racing videos and Ragozin and Thoro-Graph figures. Shippers will be able to upload photographs and videos of the walk.

A printed catalog of horses of racing age with past performance from Equibase will be available at Keeneland grounds by Friday, November 5th.

The format of the Age Racehorse Sale will be similar to Keeneland’s April 2021 Racehorse Age Sale, with live auctioneers in Keeneland. Horses can be presented for sale both physically here and outside the venue. Internet and telephone auctions will be available.
