The “Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Race Cup”, the first race of the “Sharjah Longines Track Season”, starts on Saturday at the SERC.
The races are organized under the generous direction and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
The race takes place with a strong participation of 83 purebred Arabian, local and hybrid horses. The race consists of six races of different distances and levels.
The first race will be the âLongines Dolce Vita Groupâ, which is aimed at three-year-old thoroughbred Arabian horses, over a distance of 1000 meters, with prizes of 40,000 dirhams.
The second race will be the âRecord Group from Longinesâ, which is intended for 4-year-old thoroughbred Arabian horses, over a distance of 2000m, with prizes of 40,000 dirhams.
The third race will be the âElegant Group of Longinesâ race, dedicated to 4-year-old thoroughbred Arabian horses, over a distance of 1,700 meters, with prizes of 40,000 dirhams.
The fourth race will be the âConquest Group of Longinesâ, which is an equalizer race for 4-year-old thoroughbred Arabian horses, over a distance of 1,700 meters, with prizes of 40,000 dirhams.
The fifth and main race is the “HH Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Race Cup”, which takes place under the auspices of the “Master Collection from Longines”. This is a race dedicated to 4-year-old thoroughbred Arabian horses, for a distance of 1700m, cost of 100,000 dirhams.
The sixth and last race, which is the âCourse Saint-Imier Groupe de Longinesâ, an equalizer race dedicated to 3-year-old thoroughbreds, over a distance of 1700m, with allocations of 40,000 dirhams.
