Connemara Sport Horse In-Utero TBS Declan Pondi x Flexible x Grange Finn Sparrow
2023 Connemara Sport Horse foal in utero by eventing and fox hunter stallion, *TBS Declan Pondi, out of Brambleridge Reflexion (Flexible x Sparrow’s Tiptoes x *Grange Finn Sparrow).
This colt should have a friendly temperament and be a super athlete with plenty of reach over the fences. An ideal youngster for an AA with aspirations or a professional looking for something to climb the ladder.
Declan competes successfully at Training level with his AA owner and has a number of wins to his credit, mostly on his dressage score in the 20s. in the ribbons and generally tops the charts with GDCTA, Area III Eventing and the USEA/ACPS Connemara HOTY awards. He is a sensitive, determined pony who transmits his temperament.
Brambleridge Reflexion, ‘Pippi’, unfortunately saw his career cut short by a foaling injury with his first foal. Her full brother, Brambleridge Flex Ability, is eventing in Australia with advanced rider, Katlyn McMorris Fletcher. Obviously, his dad, Flexible, needs no introduction – most people know the story of the little show jumping powerhouse and his Olympic and World Cup fairy tale tales. Flexible’s sire, Cruising, is internationally recognized for siring some of the best riders and riders in the world, often having descendants on multiple teams at the Olympics or 5*s around the world. Pippi’s dam sire, *Grange Finn Sparrow, was a prolific eventing and sport horse sire himself, siring the 5* horse Sparrow’s Nio and a number of other top level eventing horses advanced.
This colt should mature in the 15.2-15.3 hd range and will be a powerhouse on the fences.

Tradbred ISH filly by Flagmount’s Freedom x Grange Finn Sparrow
BRS Flagmount’s Kestrel – 2022 buckskin (grey) traditionally bred Irish Sport Horse filly with a pedigree full of successful event and show jumping horses.
She is out of the RID x VG stallion, Flagmount’s Freedom by Flagmount King, an Irish draft stallion recognized internationally for his excellent show jumping horses. Flag competed until his late teens and holds an eventing record up to the intermediate/*** level. He has already proven himself to be a consistent producer of top level competition horses, many of which compete with their AA owners at the Preliminary and Intermediate levels. He has at least one offspring that went forward. More recently, his youngsters cleaned up the FEH circuit in the Midwest.
Kestrel’s dam is RID stallion *Winmaur Sargent Pepper, who was re-exported to England. He himself competed in dressage and show jumping, as did his father, Snowford Bellman. This line goes to Skippy, who is best known for siring the prolific eventing sire, Jumbo. Jumbo is the first ‘sire ever’ of show horses and mares competing in British eventing. He sired 5 horses* including Headley Brittania, Avebury, Mr. Chunky and Jollybo. Kestrel’s dam is a granddaughter of *Grange Finn Sparrow, a well-known Connemara stallion who has sired many ponies and crossbred ponies, including the 5* horse, Sparrow’s Nio. Other advanced horses include Windswept, Meadow Sparrow, Wil’Ya Love Me, and Galway Blazer. There are too many to count who have competed at the preliminary and intermediate levels. Although he sired a relatively small number of foals in the United States, he left a big impact on the sport of eventing and we specialized in continuing the lineage.
Kestrel has a ground covering, an effortless canter and a high trot with good thrust from behind. She has clean, straight limbs, a well set neck with good length of reins and a powerful hindquarters. We expect her to mature around 16 hands. It is weighted and easy to handle. His own sister was bought by a syndicate for 5* riders, Allie Sacksen.
This filly shows great promise for the sport and has the temperament of an AA with aspirations or a professional who wants to upscale her.
She will be ready to go to her new home this fall. We teach all of our foals to lead, tie and load before they move on to their new owners.
