QREC meets with owners of show horses before the new season

Doha: The management of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) yesterday organized a meeting with the owners of Arabian thoroughbred horses at the QREC platform.
The meeting was attended by Hassan Abdulla Al Mannai, head of the horse shows section of QREC, and Saad Ali Al Kubaisi, deputy head of the horse show section.
The meeting was held at the invitation of the QREC to discuss the preparations for the 2021/2022 season.
QREC had previously announced the program for the new season, which includes 12 show events, festivals and auctions, setting a new record for the number of horse events organized by QREC in one season.
During the meeting, several topics related to the new season which is approaching were discussed. The owners have provided their opinions and comments on certain issues, which would maximize the benefits of the new season’s events and ensure that they are produced optimally.
After the meeting, QREC Horse Show Section Chief Hassan Abdulla Al Mannai praised the owner’s positive interaction and eagerness to attend the meeting and consult on the new season.
âThis meeting is part of the regular communication between QREC and show horse owners and it has been very productive,â he said.
“The relationship between QREC and the owners is based on a common desire to cooperate, to advance the standard of shows and to work to support the owners on an ongoing basis.”
The 2021/2022 horse show season is scheduled to begin on September 24 with the start-of-season auction.
The season will include three auctions and nine national and international exhibitions, involving three exhibitions, which will be held for the first time and these are the 1st Qatar Arabian Horse Breeders Cup, the 1st Qatar Arabian Local Bred Horse Show and the 1st Doha International Purebred Arabian horse show.
