Doha: The first of the equestrian events organized by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) for the 2021-2022 season will be launched tomorrow.
The renewed horse show season schedule keeps pace with Qatar’s world leadership in this long established discipline and reflects the strong relationship, which is deeply rooted in history, between the people of Qatar and the purebred Arabian horse. pure as well as equestrian sport in general.

The QREC leadership, led by Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, QREC President, was keen that the program for the new season expresses QREC’s vision to promote Qatar as a leader of the pure Arab race.
The new horse show season program is marked by a peak in both the number and diversity of events. Not only will prestigious shows, already on the program over the years, see various improvements, but also new shows and events will be introduced for the first time. The program includes 12 national and international shows and events.
The first of these will be the 1st Qatar Arabian Horse Breeders Cup. The two-day show kicks off tomorrow at the Longines Indoor Arena in Al Shaqab. It will be immediately followed, over the next two days and at the same location, by the 1st Qatar Arabian Horse Show for Local Bred. These two events are new shows that will be held for the first time in Qatar.
Hours before the start of the new horse show season, Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, president of QREC, praised the new program and the improvements it has received.
“It has been a priority for us, based on our assessments of previous seasons, to continue the successes and achievements achieved in organizing the most prestigious national and international shows,” said Al Mohannadi.
