Mangaluru: St Agnes College hosts webinar on women’s reproductive rights in India
July 17, 2021: The Department of Political Science and Human Rights Education Cell hosted a webinar “Raising Awareness of Women’s Reproductive Rights in India: Prospective Future” for undergraduate and law students from various Mangaluru Colleges on July 17, 2021.

Participants received an introduction on women’s reproductive rights with special reference to various acts and legislation in India.
The speaker addressed the students on different types of circumstances in which a reproductive decision can be made and highlighted the different laws that deal with women’s reproductive health. The concepts of abortion and surrogacy were the highlights of the webinar.
The webinar had 93 registered participants from various colleges who actively participated and clarified their doubts.
The session took place on Google meet.

Neha Mukund of III BA, welcomed the speakers and participants. Sonal D’Souza introduced the resource speaker.
