ABU DHABI, July 3, 2021 (WAM) – Horse riding has been a pivotal sector of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Riding Show (ADIHEX 2021) since its inception in 2003, and has experienced remarkable development during of its latest editions.

It represents the massive efforts of the UAE to preserve authentic heritage sports and traditions and present the importance of purebred Arabian horses to people all over the world.

The next edition of ADIHEX will see the participation of a wide range of regional companies specializing in the manufacture of riding supplies, trailers, boxes, horseshoes, saddles, horse bridles, nutritional supplements and feed, clothing and footwear. horseback riding, in addition to horseback riding. skills schools.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Sovereign in the Al Dhafra region and President of the Emirates Falconers’ Club (EFC), the 18th edition of ADIHEX will be organized by the EFC from September 27 to October 3, 2021 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

It is officially sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency (EAD), the Houbara International Conservation Fund and ADNEC.

Majid Ali Al Mansouri, President of the Higher Organizing Committee and Secretary General of the EFC, underlined the importance of purebred Arabian horses and their breeds, and the concern of the United Arab Emirates to continue to develop this heritage sport. , which is a source of pride for the UAE, noting that ADIHEX has become an annual revolving opportunity to celebrate UAE leadership in this area.

The late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, played a remarkable role in the breeding and acquisition of purebred Arabian horses, and in launching their races and championships in the United Arab Emirates and around the world. The care and interest in purebred Arabian horses being one of the most important pillars of Arab heritage and values, the late Sheikh Zayed was keen to organize, assist and encourage these races, and today they remain strongly present in history, present and future. sports and heritage festivals.

At the top of this year’s equestrian activities, with the distinguished participation of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, showcasing the beauty of Arabian horses in the arena, there will be a commentator specializing in showcasing Arabian horses and their beauty at the public and educate them on their benefits and capabilities.

The association also organizes, under the supervision of the European Conference of Arab Equestrian Organizations (ECAHO), a theoretical and practical course on the adjudication of the beauty of horses, for nationals of the United Arab Emirates. Hands-on training will be provided in Arabic and English in the arena using modern technologies, such as augmented reality, allowing the public to interact with the information.

Once again, Knight Amru Al-Abidi will present a workshop on how to train your equine and solve its problems, which mainly includes a session on “Learn to speak the language of horses”, as he believes that riding natural is the art of understanding the horse through body language and voice, and ensuring that he sees, hears and treats his trainer like a boss through gestures of communication.

Exciting shows will be presented by the Equestrian Academy of Boudheib, which should, as in previous editions, attract a large number of audiences on a daily basis. These characteristics will train the UAE youth in the art of caring for horses and all forms of equestrian sports.

The Zayed Higher Organization (ZHO) continues this year to present its “Hippotherapy Demonstrations”, which illustrate how equestrian therapy has long been used as a form of committed people engagement and treatment of people with physical disabilities.

The Dhabian Equestrian Club offers visitors ADIHEX fun activities, including the beautiful musical equestrian ride, as well as horse and pony riding sessions for those wishing to participate in the Arena, and the “Gymkhana” for people determined, which includes interesting games on horseback. This is in addition to horse archery shows and other live shows.

Abu Dhabi and K9 Police Equestrian Units, in conjunction with Dhabian Equestrian Club, present live performances to show how horses and dogs can protect family and community members and maintain safety and safety.

The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan encouraged the establishment of horse races in the United Arab Emirates and other countries around the world and stipulated that the participant in these races must present a certificate proving the Arabity and authenticity of the horse. in order to preserve the purity of its origin. .

To this day, French horse owners still owe thanks to Cheikh Zayed for the entry of purebred Arabian horses into French tracks since 1994, specifically the town of Chantilly, and from there he moved to d ‘other racetracks elsewhere in Europe.
