Vicky Lacey with some of the palomino colored horses and ponies of her life.
Vicky Lacey, 37, of Havenstreet, has had several palomino colored horses and ponies in her life.
His latest addition is Buddy, an eight-month-old Welsh Warmblood cross colt.
She said: “My very first pony was a palomino called Sweetie, which I got for my third birthday.
“Then I had two more palomino ponies called Nipper and Barney, who gave me so much success until my teenage years.
“Unfortunately both ponies passed away, but Nipper was 33 when we lost him.
“Now I’m 37 and bought a palomino colt called Buddy – my first palomino in all these years.
“I’m proud to say that Buddy has also integrated Nipper’s mat, it’s like stepping back in time.
“Who would have thought that the color of a horse alone would mean so much?!”
The super cute bunnies Cloud and Stormy.
Stormy and Cloud are two rex rabbits who belong to Mimi Loretta
Sampson of Shanklin.
They give her endless hours of fun and she said they can perch and jump when she tells them to.
Linda Edge’s three cats, Fluffy (upper left inset), Cookie (lower left inset) and Pickle (main image).
Linda Edge from Brightstone has three resuscitated cats, Pickle, Fluffy and Cookie, who are all 11 years old.
Linda explained: “We went on holiday 11 years ago to Devon to see my mum and met an amazing woman who had rescued 13 feral kittens from a farm.
“She slept on the couch while they all lived in her room while she tamed them and then tried to pull them off.
“We always have rescue cats, so that day we came back with Pickle and Fluffy.
“Pickle unfortunately now has kidney disease and hyperthyroidism so she needs a cream rubbed into her ear twice a day.
“We also have Cookie who is an RSPCA survivor from the Isle of Wight. She has diabetes but is truly amazing with her twice daily infections.”
Beautiful Brea looks alert.
Beautiful Brea is a four-year-old chocolate Labrador cross pointer, owned by Monica Mitchell of Ryde.
She said: “I posted a message on Facebook asking if anyone knew of a rescue dog that got along with cats.
“Brea’s adoptive mother got in touch and we fell in love with Brea straight away. She’s a calm but nervous dog. A year later, she just realized that her tail is wagging!”
Lady the pug.
Last, but not least, is Laddy the three-year-old pug, who belongs to Ashley in Ryde.
Laddy is a former breeder, now enjoying his retirement.
